“On 11-12-21 I had some work done on my car. When it was done I drove away but was unhappy because one item was not worked on as requested. I did post a review stating I was not happy and would not return if I needed future work. Al Hoffman called me and said he would like to correct this issue. He had an employee come and pick up my car at my home, took it to the shop. They found the item I complained about and did a good job of repairing it. My car was returned to my home. I was happy and most impressed with Al Hoffman and his effort to make me a happy customer. I have no doubts that Hoffman's Auto & Tire is a quality shop aimed to do great work and always satisfy their customers. Thank you Al Hoffman and crew.”

“I have been using (Al) Hoffman's auto and tire for over 10 years. I have not once been dissatisfied and always leave with with a smile, what ever the problem , it was fixed . I Remember some years back I got stuck in a Walgreens parking lot after work. I called and Al answered the phone as he was leaving for the day. he came down and got my running then followed me back to his shop and fixed the problem . You cant get better service then that. what ever the problem, he and his team can fix it . Thanks Al”

“Had an awesome experience today at hoffmans!!! My van has had an antifreeze leak for quite sometime but my boyfriend has not been able to find where it was coming from. Took it in and they were able to diagnose the issue in less than an hour and have the parts replaced by the end of the day! Am very pleased with the service and how well Al explained everything that was done to my can an assured me that if i had any questions I was able to call or stop in and they would address any further issues! Will definitely reccommemd them to friends and family!!”

“I have recently moved to Wisconsin and was looking for a trustworthy auto mechanic in the area. I have found that at Hoffmans Auto. I have had nothing but great interactions with the staff. I have interacted most with Dan, who has been very professional and has a genuine caring attitude towards his customers. I also work in a field that involves customer service and just from sitting in the waiting room and observing how the phones are answered and the interactions with other customers, you are able to tell this auto shop really cares about its customers and has a professional/respectful atmosphere. Dan or another staff member will discuss any issues they have found with you and will even bring you back to the shop to review his findings and how he or another mechanic at the shop, discovered the problems. They will always provide costs and a print out of the parts/labor and discuss with you prior to proceeding with the repairs. They are very honest and always work to get you the best price. Hoffmans have always been abl e to get my cars in a timely manner and even work hard to get them repaired efficiently (recently they called and had a part that had come in 50 minutes before they were to close and worked diligently to get my car fixed that night so I could pick it up; which was a great help to me given I had no other mode of transportation). I know that I will be bringing my vehicles to this shop as long as I live in Wisconsin. Thanks Hoffmans and appreciate all your hard work and efforts”

“This review is long overdue.

It was the summer before last when we were headed into central Wisconsin for a weekend with family when we exited I-94 to visit Mars Cheese Castle for some soft cheese, summer sausage, and a couple of brews. Just as we pulled up to our first light, there was a large clunking sound which I associated with losing a wheel. Luckily, that wasn't the case and the bartender at Mars directed us to Hoffman's for assistance.

Turns out that the drive-shaft on my 2006 VW Touareg had come lose from it's cowling and was banging against the undercarriage. Clearly it wasn't drivable for long and needed immediate attention, which could cost a pretty penny. Luckily we had Al at Hoffman's take a look at it -- he had been a long-time valued mechanic at another local auto shop and had just purchased Hoffman's a year or two before.

Good news was that he found a used replacement part that would limit our costs. Bad news, it was 4 o'clock in the afternoon and the repair could not be done until Monday -- and we were due north of Madison that evening. Without skipping a beat, Al offered us a courtesy van for the weekend free-of-charge so that we could preserve our weekend away and directed us to simply bring the loaner back on Monday to pick up our car.

Al not only saved our weekend get-away, but was courteous, professional, and proactively concerned about containing our costs. It all worked out great Thanks Al! We owe you!”

“I could not speak more highly of this auto shop. Our van broke down on our way from Milwaukee to Chicago on the night before Christmas Eve when nearly everything was already closed, and Hoffman's stayed open for us late and even drove us to a hotel when realizing we'd have to wait until the morning for a part. Then they picked us up first thing in the morning! The van has never sounded better--I think they not only fixed the problem, but possibly other problems too.

The price was also great.

He quoted me $20 over the phone but when i got there i paid less. He was so honest and humble. I dont trust mechanic shops but this is where I'll be going from now on. Thank you so much Al!!!!”

“Thank god for Hoffman's. Al, owner of Hoffman's auto and tire, is hands down the best person to go to for any car problems. I've needed his services for collision repair as well, new tires and full interior detail and cleaning. They give you A+ prompt service and should have a impervious reputation. You would be foolish to go anywhere else.”

“My husband and I were on our way to northern WI when the alternator started to die on our Honda civic. We managed to exit the highway and found Hoffman's with high reviews on Yelp so gave them a call and asked for an estimate.

They called a local tow truck for us AND ordered the new alternator so that it was waiting for us when we got there. We decided to go with them rather than waiting for AAA tow truck (which probably would have taken hours, even if it was free) and it was a good call.

They did some diagnostics to make sure there wasn't some other issue, and then they fixed it and we were on our way to vacation! Al came and talked to us a few times so we knew what they were doing/how it was progressing. The service was speedy and reasonably priced. Al (and the other people we talked to at the garage) were friendly and professional.

Highly recommended.”

“My husband and I got a flat tire on the highway late on a Sunday night. After reading the reviews posted of Hoffmans, we decided to try them out. We called Monday morning and they were really great. They were super nice, efficient and really did eveything they could to get us back on the road as soon as possible. They even gave us a ride to go get some lunch while we waited.
We ended up just replacing all 4 tires. And I can honestly say I'm kinda bummed we don't live closer because I would definitely continue to bring my car back to them for anything that may come up. But so far the tires are great. My car is very happy.”

“My girlfriend and I were en route to her folks in the heart of Wisconsin from Chicago. We planned on stopping at the Brat Stop for lunch, but her car starting having a coughing fit with the Check Engine light on just as we were getting close to 75th. We pulled off to the rest area to reassess the situation and found Hoffman Auto on yelp close by. Not only did these extremely nice people accept our walk-in emergency at mid day, but they had a shuttle van to drop us off at the Brat Stop while they took care of our car. The problem was diagnosed, a new Cam Sensor was ordered, delivered, installed, and we were back on the road in four hours. At the time we went there, Hoffman had only been open a year. The place was clean, the people were friendly and approachable, and the cost was affordable. We could not have had a better experience considering our circumstances. Thanks Hoffman.”

“I tried this place on a whim, because my cousin brought in fliers, which had $5 off of a $25 oil change for their grand opening. Found the place to be very clean, with very nice owner. Al is the owner and he is about as personable as they come.

I had the oil change, they fixed a loose valve stem on my tire, and have since been back for a brake inspection, and I am even using him for some auto body work.

On top of being great place to bring your car to be serviced, they are also very affordable. No out of place suggestions by the staff trying to get into your wallet. They simply want to fix your car and get you on the road. They also have killer gourmet coffee and a popcorn machine in the waiting area, to help kill the time.

I would suggest this newly established business to ALL of my friends and family (which I already have done).”
